Financial Options
at Georgia Dental Medicine
We always want our patients to be fully informed about the costs of their care. Our Georgia Dental Medicine Team is committed to helping you plan ahead for any treatment that we may recommend for you or a family member.
Each time we schedule you for an appointment at our Marietta dentist office, we will review the fees for your treatment and make payment arrangements with you. To minimize billing costs, we require that amounts not expected from dental insurance are paid on the date of service.
We may ask you to place a reservation deposit at the time of scheduling for longer appointments or procedures that require costly materials or laboratory fees, such as dental implants or dentures.

Dental Insurance
Please let us know that you have dental insurance when you schedule your appointment. We will send you a text message with a secure link to our registration system to submit your policy details, or, you are welcome to visit our Georgia Dental Medicine forms page to download and print our paper registration forms.
It is important to us that you understand how your dental insurance works:
Our services are rendered to you and not the insurance company. The patient or guarantor for a dependent is financially responsible for payment for all services rendered, and will be billed for any amounts not paid by dental insurance. View our New Patient registration forms and financial policy.
We are able to file insurance forms on your behalf with most dental plans with a request to have the benefits assigned to Georgia Dental Medicine.
Our office is not ‘in-network’ with any insurance company. If you have a ‘PPO’ (preferred provider organization) dental insurance plan, please check with your insurance company to make sure you are allowed to go ‘out-of-network’ for treatment. Some dental plans only reimburse treatment from in-network dentists. Georgia Dental Medicine is not a Medicaid provider.
When we plan your treatment, our administrative team will review the costs of treatment and estimate insurance benefits based on your coverage information. We will make arrangements with you to pay your deductible plus any amounts not expected from insurance at the time of service.
At your request, our administrative team can file an insurance pre-authorization with your carrier to obtain coverage details prior to treatment. We can also provide you with a treatment plan with dental procedure codes so you can consult with your insurance company directly.
Most dental insurance plans and employers update their benefits each calendar year. Please Contact our Georgia Dental Medicine Team if your dental insurance plan changes.
Scheduling Your Appointment
The old saying “time is money” is absolutely true for any business. To keep our overhead as low as possible, please remember that appointment times are reserved especially for you. Our dentist and/or hygienist's time, equipment, staffing and treatment room is specifically allocated to you during your appointment time. Lost time due to short-notice cancellations can be a waste of these valuable resources.
If you are unable to keep your appointment, please Contact the Georgia Dental Medicine office at least 8 business hours in advance so that we may offer that time to another patient. If an appointment is cancelled less than 8 hours prior to the appointed time, there is a $35 charge. No-show appointments incur a $50 charge. These charges must be paid before rescheduling.
While we understand that sickness and emergencies are never expected and sometimes “life happens”, repeated cancellations may require pre-payment for services to hold time for future appointments.
We appreciate your understanding and support in honoring our scheduling policy. Your cooperation helps us ensure that all of our patients receive timely care.
