I highly recommend Dr. Anderson! I fell out of bed and my mouth hit the edge of my open nightstand drawer. One of my lower teeth came out due to the hard impact. My mouth was bleeding an awful lot but, finally the bleeding subsided. I called the office at 7:00 AM and spoke with the receptionist. She consulted Dr. Anderson and told me to come in at 11:00 AM. She told me he would work me in so he could evaluate what needed to be done. I went in a bit early, at 10:30 AM. I only had to wait about 30 minutes because they had finished early with another patient. I thought I would bring in my tooth just to show everyone. This tooth came out root and all. I also had two gashes in the area between the bottom of my nose and the top of my lips.
I fully expected this would cost me between $4,000 and $5,000 if I chose an implant which is the recommended remedy. When Dr. Anderson came into the room, I showed him my tooth and those two gashes. He examined the area where the tooth came out and told me he did not feel an implant was the way to go and instead recommended glueing the extracted tooth between the teeth on either side! He also looked at my cuts and told me stitches would definitely not be needed and to apply clean bandages twice a day for two days and then leave the bandages off. He felt stitches would actually slow the healing process. So, I’m to come back in two weeks, when bruising and tenderness have decreased. He took my tooth to keep in their refrigerator. I then had a CT Scan done on all my teeth to ensure there had not been any bone damage. He also took photos of my mouth showing the missing tooth and the gashes. He did this just in case I developed pain anywhere else at a later date. The photos would clearly show the damage from this fall. And, finally, he wrote me a prescription for Motrin to ease the pain and prevent infection.
I was SO relieved and felt so much better after seeing Dr. Anderson. And, by the way, his entire staff is made up of the nicest, friendliest people who are extremely capable in their various roles. I’m always so impressed with how my teeth look and feel after a cleaning every six months. Going to the Dentist is such a pleasant experience at Georgia Dental Medicine. I know it’s difficult choosing the right Dentist to see, but, take it from me, you will not regret choosing this practice! 💜 I live in Alpharetta, but, in spite of the drive, I’ve been seeing Dr. Anderson for many years now!
