Christopher M. Anderson, DMD

Dr. Christopher “Chris” Anderson is originally from Ohio, he has lived in Marietta since 1984. He attended Sprayberry High School and completed his undergraduate education at Kennesaw State University. Dr. Chris graduated from the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry in 1999. While in dental school, he received awards of excellence in prosthodontics (dentures, partials and bridgework) and pediatric dentistry.

Dr. Chris has practiced general and cosmetic dentistry at our Marietta location for the past 23 years; he has been the sole owner of Georgia Dental Medicine since 2003.

Over the years, Dr. Chris has continued his education in dental science and technology to improve patient outcomes. He earned certification in surgical placement of dental implants and attended the prestigious Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education, where he was honored to serve as an instructor.

Dr. Chris has completed advanced training in bite and jaw joint (TMJ) analysis and diagnostics; he is Level 2 certified at the Center for Neural Occlusion and utilizes T-Scan™, JVA and EMG as part of his comprehensive exam process. He has also completed training in orthodontics, 3D imaging and digital dentistry.

Dr. Chris enjoys helping patients of all ages, from 3 to 93, especially our senior patients and veterans.

Mentorship is important to Dr. Chris. He values the opportunity to interact with his colleagues through his participation in the Northwestern District of the Georgia Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, the American Dental Association® and the Spear Study Club. Dr. Chris is proud to have mentored nine+ of his former dental assistants who have continued their education and are currently enrolled at Georgia Regents University (Medical College of Georgia) to become dentists.

Outside the office, Dr. Chris enjoys spending time with his wife Leigh Ann and being a dad to his two children, Jordan and Abby. His favorite hobbies include wood and metal work, target shooting and gunsmithing, and piloting. Many of our office remodeling projects were accomplished by Dr. Chris and his father.
